Betsy has over 25 years of experience in textiles, fashion and interior design. Her love for design began as a child and when she wasn’t creating or painting, she was redesigning her bedroom or sewing her own clothing in just the right shade of Periwinkle blue.

That creative streak continued as Betsy graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Clothing and Textile Design. Upon graduating, she moved to New York City where she worked in the fashion industry for various firms including Calvin Klein.

After moving back to Austin and pausing her career for family time, she started Betsy Hicks Interiors with a vision to create beautiful, functional homes throughout Central Austin.

Betsy lives in Austin with her husband and 3 daughters. When she’s not swooning over wallpaper, hardware or a fresh coat of paint, you can find her on the tennis court, traveling with her family, or working on her latest watercolor.
